Year after year, hundreds of entries are submitted and received, and it warrants thought as to whether it’s possible for designers to continue generating brand new concepts; ones never seen before. Have all of the ideas and innovative applications been tried and turned around just to circle back again? Surely that would be the case; that out of the years of competition submissions and thousands of family kitchens and baths created by NKBA members; the new concepts would be used up.
Then the competition begins, and once again we are pleasantly and wondrously surprised by the creativity and intelligent thinking behind the entries that are produced by NKBA designers from across the U.S. and Canada. In different markets, communities and cultures, skilled designers are generating room designs that go unrivaled. The NKBA Design Competition is a celebration of the competent and artistic designer and also those who encourage and support their creative expression and skill.
