Bringing smart, connected kitchen appliances to the North American market

The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), representing nearly 50,000 North American kitchen and bath industry professionals and owners of the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS), announces its newest NKBA Global Connect Program Member: Fresco, the leading smart kitchen platform.

While headquartered in Ireland, Fresco is a global organization and has been operating in the North American market since 2017 through its partnerships with some of the world’s leading appliance brands including; Bosch, GE Appliances, Instant Brands, LG Electronics, and Panasonic.

What started with a simple, connected weighing scale, has evolved to become a platform for connecting any compatible appliance–across brands–so that home cooks can experience seamless cooking every time.

Fresco was the first company to offer a smart kitchen platform–the KitchenOS–and is the only neutral, cross-brand solution that brings appliances, home cooks, and recipes together. In doing so, Fresco offers a unique home cooking experience by using technology to remove friction and create seamless interoperability between appliances and recipes.

The platform is multi-functional, but some of the main solutions include; firmware support, cloud management, appliance management, and an intelligent recipe engine for transforming any recipe into a smart recipe.

“We are the only smart kitchen platform that provides full-stack solutions to our appliance partners, from firmware development to IoT expertise,” said Cynthia West, VP of Global Sales at Fresco, “Combined with the Fresco app, our step-by-step smart recipes guide home cooks to perfect results.”

Today, Fresco is partnered with the world’s biggest appliance manufacturers including BOSCH, Electrolux, GE Appliances, Instant Brands, Kenwood, LG Electronics, Panasonic, and Thermomix. The Fresco platform combined with the Fresco app is the seamless way consumers interact with their kitchen through whatever appliance or interface they choose. The “connects with Fresco” brand certifies appliances that can be controlled from smartphones, and tablets, to smart speakers, and smart home assistants.

“Fresco is proud to become part of the NKBA community and have the opportunity to connect with like-minded organizations and individuals in the industry,” shared West. “Plus, we are always keen to stay on top of the latest trends in the kitchen, and NKBA offers insightful content throughout the year.”
